Tell us something interesting about yourself. Make us remember your name. Include why you signed up for this class.
Here are some questions to prod your thoughts. You do not have to answer all of them. In fact, you don’t have to answer any.
- What is your most memorable childhood (or college) experience?
- If you want to be a journalist, tell us why.
- What do you expect from a career as a journalist?
- What do you hope college will teach you?
- What’s your most memorable journalism experience?
The format is your own.
You must write a headline and include a link (to your blog, to your favorite site — whatever — as long as it relates to the post) and image. Do not write more than five paragraphs (250 words).
The assignment is due by midnight Sept. 14.
NOTE: I will send you links to WordPress tutorials today.
If you can’t figure out how to post using the tutorials, use the electronic drop box on UB Learns and put your first post (as a Word document) inside. Don’t worry about a photo. But do give me a url for a link.
If you can’t figure out the drop box, email me with the post as an attachment. I will set up a tutorial during the week for those struggling with this.
Week 3 will be on UB Learns by 5 p.m. Friday. Sorry about the delay. Be sure to read it as it contains details about your next assignment: bringing in five ideas for stories you want to write.
Feel free to email me with questions.
